President of the National Assembly awarded the winners of student's competition on the 25th anniversary of the National Assembly

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović awarded today the winners of the competition for primary school students from the Republic of Srpska, organized in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Parliament.

Addressing the winners of the contest, at the reception organized today at the National Assembly, the President stressed that the students from all of our elementary schools were included. He recalled that the celebration of this anniversary began on 24 October, by holding Special Session of Parliament, on the day when 25 years ago a decision about the formation of the Assembly of the Serbian People in Bosnia and Herzegovina had been made. According to him, various activities related to the celebration of the anniversary will last until January 9th and the Day of the Republic.

It is of great importance that this anniversary celebration was supported by students and their teachers, because the National Assembly, as the highest constitutional, legislative, and house of representatives, manifests the will of all citizens of the Republic of Srpska. We are proud for having 1 023 students who wrote a literary work on this topic, and 723 of them made art work on it. They all deserve praise for that - said Čubrilović, thanking  to all participants of the competition.

The first prize in the category of literary works, won  Nikola Milošević, a sixth grader of elementary school "Jovan Cvijić" from Drinjača near Zvornik, the second prize winner is Milica Jovanić, seventh grade student "Vuk Karadžić" school from Novi Grad, and the third prize went to the hands of Sofia Vidovic, seventh grade student "Zmaj Jova Jovanović" school from Banja Luka.
