President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović sent sincere congratulations, addressed through the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and on his own behalf, concerning the victory of the new American president Donald Trump.
"What is particularly encouraging is the first speech a new president of the United States has made and the message that, as president of the world's largest military force sent to other countries, which says: I want to tell the world that although we will always put our interests first, we will deal fairly with others too. We will look for partnerships, not conflict, "wrote Čubrilović in his congratulatory message.
"America and its citizens tonight showed everyone that democracy is unbeatable. Citizens of the Republic of Srpska also with particular attention monitor elections in the US and till today did not forget that it was the intervention of the American administration that stopped the civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and signed the Dayton Peace Agreement, which has been till today the guarantor of existence and equality of the Republic of Srpska as one of two equal entities in BiH. Once again, sincere congratulations to the new president of the United States with faith and hope that he will make the most of its mandate and to the benefit of the whole world, "said the congratulatory message of President Čubrilović.
